Jho Low

Low Taek Jho (born 4 November 1981), known as Jho Low, is a Malaysian businessman and international fugitive. He is wanted for his role in the 1Malaysia Development Berhad scandal.[1][2] Authorities say he masterminded a scheme to steal $4.5 billion from 1MDB and put it into his own accounts.[3][4][5][6][7] The US government claims he benefited from trust assets funded by 1MDB. Low says he is innocent and accuses Malaysian authorities of harassment and political persecution because he supported former Prime Minister Najib Razak.[8] Najib was convicted of abuse of power, money laundering, and criminal breach of trust related to the 1MDB scandal.[9]
